First Biography in Verse Greatest philanthropist Sir Albert Ernest De Silva (26 th November 1887 – 9 th May 1957) born at Rajgama, graduated & Barrister-At-Law in University of Cambridge . He was a prominent Planter, Banker, Land owner, Educationist, Sportsman, Philatelist, Buddhist worker and Social worker. He was the founder of many Schools, Hermitages, Monasteries, Temples , Health care services, Orphanages, Homes, Vocational Training Schools , and the Bank of Ceylon.
